## How to play

Eyeball It is a geometry precision game in 10 rounds. Each round shows a fresh figure and asks for one exact spot: the midpoint of a segment, the center of a circle, the corner that makes a right angle, the line that splits an angle in half, the missing corner of a parallelogram, the centroid or incenter of a triangle, the point where three lines would meet, or the foot of a perpendicular. Drag the orange marker to where you think the spot is, then confirm. No rulers, no grid — just your eye. The true answer appears in green with the construction behind it, along with your error in pixels. Errors are measured on a fixed 500 × 500 reference board, so a pixel means the same thing on a phone and on a big monitor. After 10 rounds you get your average error; the lower, the better. Every game brings new random figures, so you can play as many games as you like and climb the leaderboard.

## Controls

Mouse: click or drag anywhere to move the marker, then press Confirm. Keyboard: arrow keys nudge the marker by 1 pixel (hold Shift for 10), Enter or Space confirms and moves to the next round. Phone and tablet: drag anywhere on the board — the marker moves with your finger without sitting under it, and a magnifier shows the spot up close — then tap Confirm.

## Tips

- Look at the whole figure before you move: your first instinct is often better than staring at one spot.
- For midpoints and centers, compare both sides at once instead of measuring one side at a time.
- Right angles: imagine the corner of a sheet of paper laid on the line.
- Centroid and incenter are different points — the centroid leans towards the bulk of the triangle, the incenter sits equally far from all three sides.
- On desktop, finish with the arrow keys: one tap moves the marker by a single pixel.
- Every game has new figures, so play a few in a row: once your eye warms up, your average error usually drops.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Eyeball It?

Eyeball It is a free online eyeballing game and eyeball test: you estimate geometric points such as midpoints, circle centers, right angles and angle bisectors by sight, and the game measures how many pixels you were off.

### How is my score calculated?

Each round's error is the distance in pixels between your point and the true point, measured on a 500 × 500 reference board so it is the same on any screen. Your result is the average error over 10 rounds, for example 2.4 px. On the leaderboard it is shown as your total error over the 10 rounds (average × 10, so 2.4 px is 24) — lower is better.

### What does a good score look like?

An average under 5 px is a good eye, under 3 px is excellent, and below 2 px is remarkable. Single rounds under 1 px count as perfect.

### Can I play as many games as I want?

Yes. There is no limit: every game brings 10 new random figures, and one tap on the results screen starts the next game. Your best result is saved on your device, and your scores can go on the leaderboard.

### Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag anywhere on the board and the marker follows your finger from a distance, with a magnifier that shows the area around it, so your finger never hides the spot you are aiming at.

### Is Eyeball It free?

Yes. It is completely free, runs in your browser without download or sign-up, and your best results are saved on your device.
