Apple Game: Make 10
Drag a box around apples that add up to 10 and pop them. How many can you clear in 2 minutes?
How to play
The board holds 170 apples in 10 columns and 17 rows, each with a number from 1 to 9. Drag a box over the board: every apple inside it lights up and a bubble shows their sum. Let go when the sum is exactly 10 and those apples pop, leaving empty spaces. A box can hold two apples or many, and it may cover empty spaces, which count as 0. Each popped apple is worth one point. You have 120 seconds, and the run also ends early if no box anywhere on the board adds up to 10. Every game deals a new random board, so you can play as many rounds as you like and chase a spot on the leaderboard.
Tips
- Clear the easy pairs first, 9+1, 8+2, 7+3, 6+4 and 5+5, then look for boxes of three or more apples.
- Big boxes free up space: once a row has gaps, a long box across it can pick up apples that were far apart.
- Hold on to 1s and 2s. They are the glue that turns an awkward 7 or 8 into a 10 later on.
- Don't stare at one corner. Sweep the board top to bottom and grab every 10 you see; speed beats the perfect move.
- Every game deals a new board, so play a few rounds in a row: the more boards you see, the faster you spot the 10s.
