Pixel Cannons

Send color cannons around the conveyor belt and blast a pixel-art picture apart, one exposed pixel at a time.

How to play

A pixel-art picture sits in the middle of the screen, wrapped by a looping conveyor belt. Below it wait several queues of cannons, each with a color and an ammo number. Tap a queue to send its front cannon onto the belt. As it rides around the picture, the cannon fires at the first pixel in front of it whenever that pixel matches its color, so it can only hit the outer pixels that face the belt. Each shot uses one ammo, and an empty cannon leaves the belt. If a cannon finishes a full lap with ammo left, it parks in one of the 5 tray slots, and you can tap it later to send it around again. The belt holds 5 cannons at most. Clear every pixel to beat the level. If a cannon comes back with ammo while the tray is full, it rides one extra lap, flashing red. If the tray is still full when it returns again, the belt jams and the run is over. Every level is generated from a working solution, so it can always be cleared. Your score is the number of levels you clear in one run.

Tips

  • Before launching, look at the edge of the picture: a cannon only helps if its color is showing on the outside.
  • Peel the picture like an onion. Clearing the outer color first exposes the colors underneath.
  • Don't spam the queues. Every cannon that comes back with ammo takes a tray slot, and a full tray is how runs end.
  • Sometimes the cannon you need is stuck behind another one. Launch the front cannon on purpose to dig it out, but keep a free tray slot for it.
  • Several cannons can ride at once. Pairing colors that sit on different sides of the picture clears it faster without them getting in each other's way.
